Da ILL Spot Feat. The Milky Way,Malkovich Music,Lyrically Twisted,Level Up Ent…Host by JRoz
The Milky Way

The Milky Way is somewhere between Fela Kuti, The Talking Heads, LCD Soundsystem and The Roots. Headed by VJC alumnus Sum, and composed of nothing but family (really, even his wife is in the band), the outfit carries the vibe of a warlike tribe from space. The Milky Way is comprised of seasoned musicians that have a stage presence like no other! They will be releasing their first full length album in 2010.

Malkovich Music

Malkovich first gained fame in the late ‘90s as the standoffish founding member of Gershwin BLX, the Los Angeles crew known then as much for their fondness of pocket hammers, acid and petty larceny as they were for their maniac rhyme skills, impossible live shows and three albums VocabuDrab Sessions 96-97, Sunch Punch and Veganz Want Beef. An illegal immigrant barely in the U.S. five years at the time, every LAPD squad car that would roll by was another reminder of the fact that he was not on home turf. Several tours, breakups, children, jail terms and rehab stints later,ABCDEFG, MolMan, Milx, Omni and Cee Brown are the closest thing Malkovich has ever had to brothers, and the rent-controlled wilderness of the Palms section of West L.A. is the closest place he’s ever had to home. Malkovich is a very gifted MC with clever wordplay and a charismatic demeanor. Be sure to visit his page for free downloads of his music.
Lyrically Twisted & The New Generation

LT, also known as Lyrically Twisted, considers himself a Positive and Inspirational Hip-Hop Artist. His music consists of “Positive, Creative, Inspirational, and Spiritual poetry.” His style is focused on intricate combinations and strong lyrical delivery. Through his music, he presents listeners with potent, meaningful ideas in hopes to give them a message to ponder and instill inspiration in them, which is where he gets this notion of Positive and Inspirational Hip-Hop music. LT feels that music is a method of channeling creativity that must be given freedom through songwriting and lyrical expression and ultimately, it’s his way of sharing his innermost thoughts and passions with others in a way they may understand. He is backed by the band The New Generation. They are sure to get you moving and rocking.
Level Up Ent.

Level Up Ent. consists of MCs Mo’Phire, Handle Barz, and MC/Producer Fabian Perry. They have been together for about a year and have received some good reception to their music. They are on the party tip, and will be opening up the night.
Hosted By JRoz

A veteran of the Los Angeles Hiphop scene, JRoz has rocked many crowds and is a staple at the world famous Project Blowed. She has a very unique style and in addition to hosting, she will be performing a closeout set.

MC Prototype For Paid Dues!
One thing that we’re currently taking part in is to get the homey Prototype on the Paid Dues Festival, which is coming around March of next year. He’s a dope Poet/MC.
To help build some buzz some friends of mine from The Noise Academy came up with the idea of him doing “flash” performances in public places. Peep the videos below of what has been dubbed “The Free Speech Tour.”
Also, you can download Proto’s album, 3rd Notice for free here. The link is below. This Saturday, come out to his venue, The Bakery and see MC Prototype rock along with Afro Classics, LMNO, MC Mega, and A Brush With Pandora.
If you dig it, please sign the petition to get MC Prototype on Paid Dues!

Sinner Sinners – West Coast Tour

Come support the Sinner Sinners on their first tour through
California/Nevada! Get to know them before the world does…
**Who are the Sinner Sinners?**
Both incurably somber and bright, the vision of “Sinner Sinners” has
all it takes to seduce fans of violent, tormented rock, while staying
accessible and radio-friendly. The band’s music, somewhere between
punk rock and Goth, is ideal for setting the mood if one sleeps in a
coffin (a rarity since the death of Bela Lugosi…), but also fits in
perfectly in a rock club scene (a little less rare), but is also
perfect to get your blood pumping before a night out…under a full
moon (even less rare, check your calendar for the exact dates). Formed
by what one would say is the ultimate fan of The Damned, The Misfits,
and The Stooges, Steve Thill, singer/guitarist and his wife (Sam, keys
and vocals) and an array of backing musicians, “Sinner Sinners” offers
the ideal mix of hard punk, gothic rock and cold-wave catchiness. His
voice? DEEP – as if groaning out of a tomb, the guitars are simplicity
perfected, the backing vocals are immediately catchy, the keys are
suave, and the rhythm sections just keeps going, and going, and going.
Draped in black, this proud french group (soon leaving for L.A)
produce hit after hit that could soon make “S” stand for “Success”.
