VDay don’t mean shit
unless there’s a cool show.
We checked out the Horropops with Deadbolt, Longway, The Rocketz and the Howlers at the Avalon. We weren’t exactly sure where the Avalon was so we were wandering up Vine St. for a little bit. We found a venue-ish place and saw some dudes with flat tops hanging out so we knew that was it. It was great seeing Longway and The Rocketz play bigger shows, they’re talented guys and they’ve played at Cal Poly hehe.
Anywho, Patricia from the Horrorpops is a great entertainer (and a real cutie). She had many shots of jagermeister on stage too, I loved it. I probably broke my own record of level of intoxication at a concert, that long island iced tea did me right. I picked up the new Rocketz CD on the way out, and saw Elvis from Left Alone promoting their own show outside. I love hard working bands who do their own merch, promote their own shows, etc and don’t rely on anyone else to do the “bitch” work for them… they know what’s up and they totally deserve recognition. It’s impressive and it really shows they want their music to be heard.
Some shout outs to the bands that played last night… Click on their name to listen to their stuff. Even if you’ve never gotten into rockabilly or psychobilly, these bands are good gateway drugs =)

I was just made aware of this site three minutes ago, and have been laughing ever since. The very first one I read when I punched in the URL:
Today, I looked on my sister’s phone. There was a text from her boyfriend: “Let’s go camping again, I bought more condoms so we won’t make a big mess this time.” Last time they went camping, they borrowed my sleeping bag. FML
